October 2006: 78 supermarkets sign up for adaptive supply chain communication network.

June 2005: Boost to research and high level expertise: With its new membership to Australia's Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Smart Internet Technology, Agent Technology Pty Ltd will receive $30,000.00 worth of Melbourne University resources and expertise over a 12-month period beginning at the end of June 2005. Melbourne University is a world leader in software agent research.

Cooperative Research Centres, generally known as CRCs, bring together researchers from universities, government laboratories and private industry. CRCs cover long-term, collaborative research and development of very substantial quality and size that contribute to national objectives.

Smart Internet Technology CRC (SITCRC) is a national joint venture organisation whose focus is to capitalise the outcomes of world class Internet research and development for Australia by supporting the research, information and people needs of players in the Internet sector.

The SITCRC will combine research in Artificial Intelligence, Social Interaction and Network Development to create enabling technologies for smart Internet applications that will allow users and network providers to manage this complexity.

The program that Agent Technology has joined will provide the company with an opportunity to engage with the SITCRC and take advantage of up to date, relevant, in depth information essential to support its Internet investment decisions.

Melbourne University is one of the world leaders, at an academic and research level, in Agent Research activity within the Department of Information Systems. This is part of the overall Agent Lab research activity that is a collaborative endeavour with the Department of Computer Science and Software Engineering at Melbourne University.

February 2005: Agent Technology received strong market confirmation regarding the need for the creation of adaptive supply networks. Customer feedback came from Motorola, Boeing, Bayer, San Miguel Corporation and numerous other international businesses.

February 2004: The company, Agent Technology Pty Ltd, made presentations in Silicon Valley, USA from which it was chosen by globally renowned, US based IT experts as one of the most innovative small companies in the world. Agent Technology Pty Ltd was one of only sixty companies globally to be invited to the world's biggest annual launch event for new IT products. The USA's DEMO event has been the launch event for Java, Palm Pilot, E-Trade and many other significant products from companies and organizations such as Adobe, Apple, SUN, IBM, NASA etc. Agent Technology was only one of ten companies from outside the USA invited for the 2004 event. This included companies from China, France, U.K., Israel etc.

From hundreds of companies around the world each year, the 60 most significant, market-disrupting products are vetted and introduced to the market at DEMO.

Attendees at DEMO include the business and technology media, including over 80 working journalists from: New York Times, Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Fortune, PC World, San Jose Mercury News, USA Today, ABC, NBC, CNN, C/net, InfoWorld and many more.

The Key Selection Criteria for being invited to DEMO, USA
  1. The product must make a significant contribution to the state of the art in its target market;
  2. Have the potential to change the dynamics of the marketplace into which it is introduced;
  3. Be backed by a management team capable of delivering the product to market.
Agent Technology was identified as being an exceptional candidate for DEMO 2004. Agent Technology was selected by the chief executive of DEMO 2004, Chris Shipley. Chris was recently assigned to Fortune Magazine's 'most perfect board of directors.' Chris is regarded today as a leading technology product and business analyst in the United States and Europe . Chris was also recently identified as one of Fortune Magazine's "Top 10 Minds in Small Business," and has often been cited as a leading influencer by other publications.
