Smart Internet Technology CRC (SITCRC) is a national joint venture organisation whose focus is to capitalise the outcomes of world class Internet research and development for Australia by supporting the research, information and people needs of players in the Internet sector. The SITCRC will combine research in Artificial Intelligence, Social Interaction and Network Development to create enabling technologies for smart Internet applications that will allow users and network providers to manage this complexity. The program that Agent Technology has joined will provide the company with an opportunity to engage with the SITCRC and take advantage of up to date, relevant, in depth information essential to support its Internet investment decisions. Melbourne University is one of the world leaders, at an academic and research level, in Agent Research activity within the Department of Information Systems.
